A good quality 19th Century Chinese black
and gold lacquer work box of canted
rectangular form, all around
profusely decorated with figures in various
settings, buildings etc Frieze drawer.
Lion masked feet to all four corners.
Side carrying handles.
The interior of the lid black lacquer. The top section
extensively fitted with sewing accoutrements.
The apron drawer with lift up central compartment
wonderfully decorated as above.
Rubbing commensurate with use. One foot replaced
as per the remaining three.
